Day 2 – Nairobi (with Nairobi Safari Walk, Giraffe Center & Carnivore restaurant for Lunch)
Breakfast followed by pick up at 0930hrs for Nairobi safari walk. The Closest you can get to the Wild, Nairobi Safari Walk. With its raised wooden boardwalk that allows for uninterrupted views of the animals, the Safari Walk is a show case for Kenya’s Parks and Reserves, allowing visitors to discover what they can expect to see across the country. Visitors can see a sample of the country’s rich animal life including the rare bongo, white rhino and albino zebra as well as big cats, antelopes and primates. It is also home to some 150 species of local trees. At 1130 hrs, proceed to the Giraffe Center. Giraffe Centre was established in an attempt to save the endangered Rothschild giraffe. The Rothschild giraffe had lost its natural habitat in western Kenya due sub-division and resettlement and only 130 Rothschild giraffe were remaining. The Giraffe Centre is home for about 14 resident Rothschild giraffes. At the Giraffe Centre, you will be able to hand feed, observe and even kiss the friendly Rothschild giraffes. Visitors at the Giraffe Centre get a chance to come into close contact with these remarkable, graceful animals. Lunch will be served at the famous Carnivore restaurant. The Carnivore is justifiably referred to as Africa’s Greatest Eating Experience. Twice voted amongst the world’s 50 best restaurants by UK based Restaurant magazine, the Carnivore is an amazing open-air meat specialty restaurant that has strikingly different food service and atmosphere to any other restaurant in Kenya. Whole joints of meat - legs of lamb and pork, haunches of exotic meat, rumps of beef, sirloins, racks of lamb, spare ribs, sausages, chicken wings, skewered kidneys, even crocodile, and other tasty morsels - are roasted on traditional Maasai swords over a huge, visually spectacular charcoal pit that dominates the entrance of the restaurant. You are booked at Villa Rosa Kimpinsiki (5*) or Similar, on Bed & Breakfast basis.
